The ACb comforter encasing is made from Cotton Performance , which consists of pure, natural cotton fibres. During production, the material is brushed and mercerised 300 times before being woven particularly tightly. Nevertheless, it is permeable to air and water vapour.
Mercerisation is an expensive process used to refine cotton. It alters the surface structure of the cotton fibres, giving the material special properties:
- a silky, wash-resistant sheen
- greater strength
- better dimensional stability
